People - The Vigor of Besties on gogirl magazine

       These 3 best friends were in 'our' Bond of The Month (BOTM ) section Gogirl ! Magazine, the photoshoot was taken at 'FOODHALL' Belezza South Jakarta. The idea is to picturing them shopping food ingredients together, for the 3 of them have the same hobby : COOKING !! . The photoshoot ran smoothly because they are accostumized to made an automaticaly Huge & Warm Smile when they were on.

Last month me and my friend working on this advertising images, for Seven Eleven BIG BITE & SLURPEE COMPETITION 2011. Thanks to Creative Eways  agency : Novi, Yosephine, Risty & Kumoro, Natasha Claudia Davega ( female talent ) from Kacamata Band, Erick Sebastian ( male talent ) from EASY TIGER Band ,  Yohanes Radityo , high skilled digital imager + art director that i always look up to, Justine Leonita the make up artist, and also to everyone who made it come possible. :)

Morning : Pagi-pagi perlu semangat lebih, cocoknya minum kopi Mandheling. Kopi ini lebih kuat dibanding kopi lainnya. Kasih sedikit gula. Kalau kurang suka kopi hitam, bisa campur dengan creamer. Cupcakes banana atau cokelat bisa jadi pilihan buat temennya. Nambah energi dan semangat di pagi hari!  (Ini yg fotonya cangkir putih, ada 2 cupcakes).

After Lunch : Sehabis makan siang, nggak dilarang minum kopi lho. Setelah makan siang, kita perlu yang asam untuk menetralisir apa-apa yang udah dimakan. Minum kopi Toraja paling pas waktu siang hari. Siang biasanya panas dan enaknya minum kopi dingin. Bubuk kopi diseduh dengan air panas setengah porsi. Aduk, lalu kasih gula dan susu cair (fresh milk). Habis itu baru di-shake. Terakhir, kasih es batu.  (Ini yg fotonya ice coffee)

Late Afternoon : Minum kopi yang ringan untuk sore atau malam hari, seperti Java Coffee. Campur bubuk kopi dengan caramel, creamer, dan bubuk cokelat Milo. Nggak usah pakai gula lagi. Add brownies for perfection! (Ini yg fotonya ada di majalah)

eat eat eat - Vanilla Kitchen & Wine ( Bandung )

Begitu masuk ke resto ini, you gonna feel warm and pleasant. Interior ruangannya tertata rapih dengan gaya pop industrialis, dominasi warna putih, hijau dan coklatnya bikin mata sejuk, dan batu bata yang disusun acak membuat tempat ini punya kesan tersendiri. Vanilla membagi ruangannya menjadi 3 tempat, ada outdoor balkon dimana kursi-kursi seperti dipan ditambah bantal ditata menghadap jalan, enak banget buat tiduran sambil leyeh-leyeh. Di tengah, beberapa kursi kayu dan meja ditambah tv, rak buku dan display aksesoris, its gonna remind you of modern library, suasananya yang tenang cocok buat kamu yang suka nulis and there's free wifi . 

 Di belakang, selain dipan panjang, ada kursi kecil seperti Japanesse seat yang ditata diatas panggung kayu, pas weekend panggung kayu ini akan digunakan untuk live music or acoustic performances. Wait, its not done yet, di lantai 2 ada 4 VIP room dengan kapasitas 8-15 orang yang bisa dipakai untuk main game, karaoke atau nobar bareng. Even you can make some garden party here! Karena ada ruang terbuka di  roof, tapi sayangnya tempatnya sedikit lebih kecil.

For the food and drink, Vanilla menyajikan masakan pasta, steak, dan asian food.  Rekomendasinya Australia Wagyu Rib Eye, menu baru yang langsung jadi favorit, Passion Fruit and Black Forest Vanilla.
Honestly, this is the place that I wanna bring my family and friends to chill out.

 Diantara semua tempat popular di Dago, Maja House adalah salah satunya. Dengan view yang menakjubkan, apalagi kalau malam, Maja House menampilkan suasana yang sedikit berbeda dibanding tempat lainnya. Konsep Maja House unik dan kontemporer, bikin nggak boring dilihatnya, enaknya lagi kita bisa pilih beberapa seat yang ada di luar atau didalam. If you want to go to look  for the city view of Bandung, pilih rooftop resto Sugar&Cream, resto ini merupakan bagian dari Maja House.

 Sugar&Cream menyediakan dipan dan bangku kecil untuk santai sambil ngeliatcity view, tapi kalau malam udaranya dingin banget, jangan lupa buat bawa jaket atau selimut ya. For special occasion, Maja House punya function hall dengan kapasitas 2000 orang lebih, cocok untuk acara seperti gathering, reunion party, wedding sampai exhibition. For the dish:  Australian Wagyu, Triple Berry Mocktail and dessert Apple Scramble, walaupun agak sedikit mahal but its really worth to try.

eat eat eat - the most delicious ' TOM YUM GONG '

If y'all ever been to Karawaci , Benton Junction right front of UPH university you must've known this place. GRASSHOPER THAI , such a funny name for a restaurant isn't it ? :D.

But they got the most delicious ' TOM YUM GONG ' i've ever tasted. hmmm.. very veryyy undescribeable :9. And yet they got an affordable price too, just 28k for the most delicious 'tom yum gong'.

 

So here I am just to post a photo that might temptating your appetite ( *hope so ). 

oh yes.. btw.. Thanks Shinta ( Gogirl!) Reporter for helped me on the food styling.

PS : pssstt.. they said they have the 'TOM YUM GONG' recipe imported right away from Thailand !!

eat eat eat - NINOTCHKA Cafe Parlour & Diner

Ninotchka adalah Café kecil milik fashion blogger Sonia Eryka dan baru sebulan dibuka, tepatnya tanggal 1 agustus. Awalnya Karyn Putri (GL'11 2nd winner) punya tempat dan nawarin ke Sonia untuk coba dimanfaatin karena sayang kalau didiemin aja. Iseng-iseng Sonia coba buka café sekaligus butik yang menjual baju hasil karyanya. Nggak disangka cafénya langsung jadi favorit, apalagi lokasinya berdekatan dengan sekolah menengah atas bikin banyak  siswa-siswa yang dateng untuk nongkrong sepulang sekolah.  

Interior yang sederhana dengan dominasi coklat dan display makanannya ngingetin kita sama coffee shop vintage tahun 50'an. Nggak heran karena nama Ninotchka sendiri diambil dari nama film Greta Garbo, 'Ninotchka'.  Liat dari interiornya yang tertata apik, sama sekali nggak nyangka lho Sonia nyiapin ini semua cuma seminggu, dan lucunya dia bilang dulu dia nggak bisa masak tapi sejak punya café mau nggak mau jadi belajar masak. Untuk ngejalanin café ini Sonia dibantu ibu dan adiknya, Roy, terkadang Karyn juga suka dateng bantuin. 

 

Untuk makanannya semua homemade bikinan mama Sonia kecuali Chocholate Lava Cake. Kue yang langsung jadi favoritnya semua crew Gogirl! ini bikinan Sonia sendiri lho, kata mamanya cuma Sonia yang tau kematengan kuenya yang pas. Dimakan sama vanilla ice cream, Chocolate Lava Cake ini bener-bener bikin ngiler dan nggak cukup satu deh! Hehe…

eat eat eat - TRISTAR & Monas Culinary School in Surabaya

I'm sure that every one of y'all folks have already seen ' MASTER CHEF ' or another cooking variety show. Sometimes i'm wandering to be the one of the contestant in that show, however.. cooking world gave a lot of surprises to me, if you wanna be a chef, you've got to do the formal education such as college , etc. I blew my mind off 'bout being a contestant in master chef program ;p , because i've found my passion is at ' eating ' not ' cooking '. And so off we go ( me and my reporter ) went to the local culinary school in Surabaya, to gathered some information, and of course took some photos and finally did the food tasting.

Yeah.. this is about my all time favourite dear and lovely snack !! GORENGAN !!! 

GEHU or Tahu isi  : Fried Tofu stuffed with bean sprouts, carrot slices, etc, used to be a triangle shaped.

BALA - BALA or Bakwan : it's a mass of mess , ragged, disordered looks of fried dough. but GOOD ! and Tasty.

TEMPE or Tempe Goreng: Thin sliced block of tempe, could feed a hungry batalion army ;p or maybe a swarm of marching world of ants. ;D

LUMPIA or Risol :  a dumpling skin who happened to roll a group of bihun and plunged into the boiling oil. deep fried and Served !!
